On Tuesday, Stony Point Elementary School among other schools across the district hosted a Veterans Day Assembly. During the assembly, the choir sang, students read writing pieces to the audience, and veterans were honored with flowers.

Grain Valley to Host District Finals
The Grain Valley Varsity Football team is set to host Raytown High School in the District Championship tonight beginning at 7:00 P.M. With a win tonight, the Eagles would secure the Class 5 District 7 Championship and move on to the next rounds of the playoffs.

Grain Valley South Middle School Partners with Pawportunities You're Invited to help Grain Valley South Middle School Art Students make a difference. Over the past few weeks, students have been drawing, painting, and working away to complete their "Pet Portrait" highlighting an animal that is currently up for adoption at Pawportunities, a shelter out of Blue Springs, Missouri. Now, students drawings or paintings will be up for auction with all proceeds benefitting Pawportunities! A silent auction will be held where the community will have an opportunity to bid on the students "Pet Portraits". This year's Silent Auction will be on November 21st from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Grain Valley South Middle School, (901 E Ryan Rd, Grain Valley, MO 64029).
If you can't make it to the event, you can still place bids online. The Online Pet Portrait Auction will open on Thursday, November 20th and conclude on Friday, November 21st at 9:00 p.m.
Pawportunities staff will be onsite during the Silent Auction to answer questions, and provide information about adopting or fostering animals through their shelter. The shelter will also have animals on site during the event.
