All Components

Accordion & Tabs

  • The Accordion & Tabs component allows you to present an unlimited number of content items—either as vertically expandable Accordions or as horizontally arranged Tabs. This is perfect for organizing lots of information into compact, intuitive sections

    • Accordion View
Displays content in collapsible sections. Users click a section header to expand the content, making it a clean way to share FAQs, policies, or any grouped information.

    • Tabs View
Places multiple content panels side-by-side horizontally. Users click on a tab to toggle between different content, ideal for switching between categories or topics like school levels or program types.

    • Highly Informational Pages: Great for FAQs, directory-style content (like “Our Schools” or “Programs”), or policies where users need to dig into specific sections.

    • Space-Saving Layouts: Keeps your page uncluttered by hiding information until users choose to view it.

    • User-Friendly Navigation: Whether on desktop or mobile, users can easily open exactly what they’re looking for without scrolling through long pages.

Announcements

Using the Announcement Component

What It Does

The Announcements component is a straightforward yet visually engaging module used to highlight short-form, important messages—like Picture Day reminders, Talent Show promotions, or Graduation ceremony notices—on your school or district website

Key Features & Functionality

  • Visual Appeal: Each announcement is typically paired with an image, drawing attention and adding context (e.g., a school photo for Picture Day)

  • Concise Messaging: It supports short titles and body text to deliver announcements clearly and succinctly—perfect for timely notices.

  • Engagement Boosters: You can include call-to-actions like "More Info" links to guide visitors to additional details or relevant pages

Purpose & Best Uses

  • Timely Communication: Ideal for spotlighting events that demand attention—such as deadline reminders, event notices, or quick updates.

  • High Visibility: Serves well in hero areas, sidebars, or prominent sections where you want visitors to see these announcements immediately.

  • Quick Consumption: Perfect when your goal is to share key information at a glance without navigating away from the page.

Columns

The Columns component is a highly flexible content editor that lets you mix and match various types of content—text, images, banners, videos, buttons, quotes, lists, tables, social feeds, and more—within a structured, multi-column layout.

Layout & Styling Options

  • Nine layout configurations give you plenty of design flexibility

  • You can enhance appearance using:

    • Backgrounds: solid colors or images

    • Rounded corner styling

    • Adjustable component width for precise layout control

  • Previously, a simpler “Two-Column Text Area” existed, but it's been replaced by this more robust Columns component. The new version adds multiple layout choices and ensures ADA compliance for color contrast and accessibility. It replaced the older tool (which was scheduled for retirement by end of 2024), and all existing instances are automatically upgraded.

Practical Examples in Action

  • Dark Banner Image Layout: A single column with a 300px-high banner image overlayed on a semi-transparent black background (opacity ~0.8), featuring large heading and subheading styles

  • Two-Column Setup: One side includes a background color (e.g., #618025) with white text. The content itself is contained within the layout while the background spans the full width

  • Intro with Right-Aligned Image: The introductory section can include an image floated right. If the intro isn't too long, the image will drop down, causing the columns below to adjust in width dynamically

Why Use Columns?

  • Organizational Power: Easily segment related content across columns—ideal for callouts, sidebars, feature sections, and visual layouts.

  • Rich Content Flexibility: Mix content types—text, visuals, multimedia, and interactive elements—in a modular fashion.

  • Design Control: Tailor appearance with background, rounding, and width settings to create cohesive and visually engaging pages.

  • Accessibility Built-In: ADA “guardrails” help ensure that color choices and contrast levels meet accessibility standards—especially important for readability and inclusivity
