About Us
Orange Unified School District (OUSD) is supported by a dedicated team of educators and staff who work in partnership with families and the community to serve students across the district. OUSD includes elementary schools, K–8 campuses, middle schools, and comprehensive high schools, offering a cohesive educational experience from early learning through graduation. Elementary class sizes are thoughtfully managed to support strong instruction and student engagement.
The district also provides alternative and specialized programs, including continuation education and independent study. All schools offer special education services, Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), and targeted support for English learner students to promote equitable access and student success.

Our Curriculum
Orange USD provides a rigorous curriculum, nurturing environment, foreign languages, Expeditionary Learning, active hands-on learning, real-world project-based learning, and leadership skills that you can’t find anywhere else in the state.

Literacy and Language Arts
Emphasizes reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills to build a strong foundation in literacy. This includes phonics, vocabulary development, comprehension strategies, creative writing, and public speaking.

Science and Environmental Studies
Encourages inquiry-based learning to foster curiosity about the natural world. Covers topics such as life sciences, physical sciences, earth sciences, and environmental education, with an emphasis on hands-on experiments and field studies.

Mathematics
Focuses on developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, problem-solving skills, and logical reasoning. Engages students through hands-on activities, real-world applications, and exploration of numeracy, geometry, algebraic thinking, and data analysis.
